Wittwer Farms, John Deere and Case IH Combines on 10-27-2011
Mar 30, 2012
Wittwer Farms, Monroe Center, Illinois Equipment: John Deere 9500 Combine, Operator Tim Wittwer Case IH 1688 Combine, Operator Randy Benson John Deere 4640 Tractor, Operator Jack Schreier Grain Trucks, Driver Mark Wittwer I had just finished videoing an eastbound train coming out of Davis Junction. I was looking for some harvest action when I spotted a Deere combine and a Case combine working together. So even though the sun was almost directly towards the cameras, I had to give it a try. At first, the two combines were not working near each other as they had previously. But the Wittwer brothers kindly got them back into formation for the cameras. Thanks guys. Obama To End Family Farms
May 19, 2012
DOT To Mandate All Farm Vehicles Require CDL Licenses, Could Bring Demise To Farmers In Late May, the DOT proposed a rule change for farm equipment, and if it this allowed to take effect, it will place significant regulatory pressure on small farms and family farms all across America -- costing them thousands of dollars and possibly forcing many of them out of business. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), part of the Department of Transportation (DOT), wants new standards that would require all farmers and everyone on the farm to obtain a CDL (Commercial Drivers License) in order to operate any farming equipment. The agency is going to accomplish this by reclassifying all farm vehicles and implements as Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs). (It is also important to note here that DOT Secretary Ray LaHood holds a seat on the newly created White House Rural Council. A powerful group whose members have ties to George Soros and The Center For American Progress.) The move by the DOT appears to be "legislation through regulation." By reclassifying all farm vehicles and implements as Commercial Vehicles, the federal government will now be able to claim regulatory control over the estimated 800000 farm workers in America, at the same time, overriding the rights of the states. The proposed change also means ANYONE driving a tractor or operating any piece of motorized farming equipment would be forced to pass the same rigorous tests and fill out the same detailed ...

Under Water Mystery Exploration Pt. 4 Ferson Farm, Mystery tube, Antique Farm Equipment
Feb 12, 2012
This shows the home place of a family, who settled by Alum Creek in 1818 and built their log cabin by the trails by the river in an untamed wilderness. A little later they moved their cabin up hill and even later built their frame house around it. It still had the original log cabin door and latch strap. Around 1970, the Alum Creek Dam was put in and the place was taken. They moved the house to higher ground where it is now and still containing the log cabin parts. The remains of the house are now under the Alum Creek Reservoir water. However when the water level is down the old homes can be seen. The video shows one of the descendants of the log cabin builders, who grew up in the house shown. She is looking at the remains of the home she grew up in (which are underwater most of the time). A few times the water has been left out and once people could walk along the old Africa Road.
